Early Learning Colour Sorting Activity

Early Learning Colour Sorting Activity

Colours are such an important part of the world. If you have a little one, I’m sure you have said these things at least a couple of times

  • Red means stop, green means go!
  • One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish!
  • Where is the GREEN sheep!?

I know they are said on a daily basis in our household!

Are you looking for an easy, quiet activity to help your little one learn their colours? Here is a great task, that is simple and quick to set up. All you need are a few bowls (we actually used cups – but there are some great sorting bowls HERE) and some pom poms HERE!

Put one of each coloured pom pom in the cups and get your little one to match the remaining ones. Done!

Want a little bit more of a challenge? Instead of using your fingers – try to using tongs, or even chop sticks for bigger kids!

Could it be any simpler than that?!
